Not long after the Phillies won the 1980 World Series, the team was consumed in a scandal involving amphetamines. Randy’s life began to fall apart fast. In 2016, Randy was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver caused by drug and alcohol abuse. Today, Randy is clean and sober and giving back to the community in so many ways.
