Reggie Leach, nicknamed the “Riverton Rifle”, and winner of Philadelphia’s only Stanley Cup’s, will be joining us on Friday. Leach had a long and productive NHL Career. Leach’s best season was the 1975-1976 cup winning season with the Philadelphia Flyers, when he set career highs in goals (61), points (91), game-winning goals (11), and plus-minus with a +73 rating. Leach’s 61 goals earned him the goal-scoring title for that season, as well as the current Flyers franchise record for most goals in a season. Leach was a huge reason why the Flyer’s won the cup that year. Leach will be discussing his years with the Flyers. He will also turn to a more serious topic, the disease of addiction. The NHL has also suffered losses, due to abuse of drugs and alcohol. We will find out the NHL culture , and how player’s need to be careful, and not become ensnared in addiction. We will also revisit his Cup Winning years in Philadelphia!
This will be a great program! Tune into AM 860 WWDB this Friday at 3 pm!!
